- Sift matcha powder into a bowl to remove clumps.
- Add hot water and whisk vigorously in a "W" or "M" motion until a smooth, frothy paste forms.
- Pour the matcha into a cup, add optional sweetener, and top with steamed milk.
- Pro Tip: Never use boiling water, as it will burn the matcha and make it taste bitter. The ideal temperature is around 175°F (80°C).
