Iced Latte

Region: Global
Brewing Time: 3 minutes (for espresso)
Total Time: 5 minutes
Indulgence: ☕️☕️ (Medium)
The Story:
The iced latte is the cold, refreshing version of the classic cafe staple. It’s the simplest and most pure way to enjoy a milk-based iced coffee, focusing on the direct combination of espresso and chilled milk without the added sweetness of syrups (unless desired). It's a quick and cooling caffeine delivery system for warm days.
Prep Time 2 minutes
Brewing time 3 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso, cooled slightly
  • 6-8 oz cold milk
  • Ice

Equipment

  • Espresso machine

Method

  1. Fill a glass full with ice.
  2. Pour cold milk over the ice, leaving room for espresso.
  3. Slowly pour the freshly pulled espresso over the milk and ice.
  4. Pro Tip: For a clearer, more distinct layered look, pour the espresso over the back of a spoon held just above the milk. For a mixed drink, pour it directly in.
